About SSC CGL

The Combined Graduate Level Examination is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission for recruitment to Group B and Group C posts across ministries, departments and organizations of the Central Government.

It opens the door to administrative, taxation, auditing, accounting, investigation and statistical roles — which is why it draws such a large field of graduates every year.

Recruitment runs primarily through Tier-I and Tier-II computer-based examinations, followed by applicable qualifying and documentation stages.

Tier-I is an objective, computer-based examination covering four subjects:
