About IBPS Bank Exam Process
IBPS is one of the most competitive examinations in India with a selection ratio of 1 out of 2000. The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS), an autonomous body, conducts the recruitment process for banks in India through common written tests. IBPS exam is the common written test (CWE), conducted by Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) for recruitment of various banks in India. The CWE, an objective type exam is held separately for each post. The test aims at assessing candidate's speed, accuracy and academic expertise with a blend of modern technology. IBPS conducts bank exam for four different posts namely :
(I) Probationary Officer (Public Sector Banks)
(ii) Clerk / Assistant (Public Sector Banks)
(iii) Regional Rural Banks Officers Scale I, II, III, Office Assistant and
(iv) Specialist Officer for HR, Law, IT, Marketing, Management and Agricultural Field Officer.

What is IBPS RRB Exam? Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) - Conducts the bank exam of RRB Common Written Exam (CWE). It is conducted for recruitment to Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) or Gramin Banks. IBPS organizes the RRB CWE Exam is conducted every year by IBPS for the recruitment for the post of both of Officers & Office Assistants (Multipurpose) in various Regional Rural Banks across the country. The Exam is going to be conducted online. Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is fully responsible for conducting RRB Common Written Exam (CWE). For the post of Officers Scale I and Office Assistant (Multipurpose) the examination will be two-tier i.e. the online examination will be held in two phases, preliminary and mains. The job profile, roles and responsibilities and salary package of RRB officers are as follows: Group A Officer Post: The Group A division has 3 cadres officers, which are Officer Scale I, Scale II and Scale III.
Officer Scale I : The post held by Officer Scale I is a Manager Trainee post in RRBs or Gramin Bank. After completion of two years’ probation period successfully, the PO will get the rank of Assistant Manager. The salary of the newly appointed Officer scale I around Rs. 29,000.
Officer Scale-II : The post held by Officer Scale-II is a manager level post. This post requires experience and professional aptitudes. Specialist recruited candidate to RRB can take this post. The post holder of officer scale – II post has to go through two years of successful probation period and will get a starting salary of around Rs.39300 approx.
Officer Scale-III : The post held by Officer Scale III is a senior manager level post. This post requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the banking sector or relevant industry experience. The starting salary of Officer Scale – III post is above Rs.50,000.
Group 'B' Office Assistant (Multipurpose) Post : Office Assistant: This post similar to clerical cadre in other nationalized banks. The post holder may have distinctive roles on an appointment which involves account opening, cash collection, cheque verification etc. The training period for RRB Office Assistant is of 1 year and the starting salary is of Rs. 16250 approx.
Institute of Personnel Banking has released the IBPS RRB Application Form 2023 today - 07 June, 2023. IBPS conducts CWS for Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) Every Year. Candidates aspriing to take up this examination have to satisfy the following criteria to be eligible to apply for Officer Scale I, II & III Scale Vacancies. Candidates have to go through the eligibility criteria carefully & fill up the application form of IBPS RRB 2023.
Nationality
A Candidate must be either: (i) a Citizen of India or (ii) a subject of Nepal or (iii) a subject of Bhutan or (iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
Age Limit
The age limit for the candidates as on 01 June, 2023 should be as follows: For Officer Scale - III (Senior Manager) - Above 21 Years - Below 40 Years i.e. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.06.1982 and later than 31.05.2022 (both dates inclusive) For Officer Sale - II (Manager) - Above 21 Years - Below 32 Years i.e. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.06.1990 and later than 31.05.2021 (both dates inclusive) For Officer Scale - I (Assistant Manager) - Above 18 Years - Below 30 Years, i.e., Candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.06.1992 and later than 31.05.2005 (bot dates inclusive) For Office Assistant (Multipurpose) - Between 18 Years and 28 years i.e., Candidates should have not been born earlier than 02.06.1994 and later than 01.06.2005 (both dates inclusive).
Educational Qualifications & Experience (AS on the last date of Online Registration i.e. 27.06.2023) Office Assistant : Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university or its equivalent and must have proficiency in local language and computer knowledge or awareness will be added qualification as prescribed by the participating RRB/s.
